Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Adaro Indonesia has accomplished a proud achievement at the ASEAN regional level as it named "The Winner" of the 2025 ASEAN Coal Award (ACA) in Large-CSR category.
Rinaldo Kurniawan, the company's External Relation Division Head, said this is the first award that PT Adaro Indonesia has received at the ASEAN level for corporate social responsibility (CSR).
"Adaro's main goal in its CSR program is to provide tangible benefits to the surrounding communities within the company's ring 1 operational area and this award is an added bonus for its consistency and commitment," he stated in a press release issued by YABN, Wednesday.
Through its flagship program “Adaro Ignites Change for Sustainability Development” (Adaro Nyalakan Perubahan untuk Pembangunan Berkelanjutan), Adaro was considered successful in implementing CSR governance that goes beyond compliance and provides real economic, social, and environmental impact in its operational areas.

Rinaldo received the award from the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) Assessment Committee at a ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Thursday (October 16, 2025).
According to Aan Nurhadi, CSR Section Head of PT Adaro Indonesia, this achievement was results of hard work and ingenuity of the team from upstream to downstream.
"Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah), we were entrusted to be the winner of Large-CSR category at the 2025 ASEAN Coal Award. This achievement should not make us complacent, as the future will even be more challanging,” he said.
He emphasized PT Adaro Indonesia's commitment to complying with regulation, the support of a solid team, and synergy with government, community, and partners as essential assets for continuing to contribute positively to the economy, social, and environment.

The company was previously recommended by the Directorate General of Minerals and Coal (Minerba) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and received guidance and assistance from Indonesian experts during the selection process, which ran from April to October 2025.
ASEAN Coal Award is organized by ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), an inter-government body under the auspices of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), which serves as a center for energy coordination, research and cooperation in Southeast Asian region.
