PT Lahai Coal wins the best community development award

Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Lahai Coal, one of PT Adaro Minerals Indonesia's subsidiaries, in Murung Raya Regency, Central Kalimatan, won the award for the best community development and empowerment (PPM) performance for mineral and coal mining enterprise.

The TAMASYA (Mining Prosperous Community) award from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources's (ESDM's) Directorate General of Mineral and Coal is given to small scale company category (capacity production less than 2 million tons).

"This award further motivate PT Lahai Coal to continue to improve the welfare of community around its operations in Murung Raya District," said Adaro Minerals Indonesia ComDev Department Head Sri Armiyati Jarkasi, Friday (Nov 29, 2024).

she expressed her gratitude to the government of Murung Raya for continuing to support and synergize so that PT Lahai Coal's community development and empowerment program can contribute to support regional development.

Tamasya Award is the government's appreciation for mineral and coal mining companies that have strongly committed to implement community development and empowerment (PPM) program well.

It is considered as a real effort to improve the quality of life of people around the mine and create a sustainable positive impact and encourage mineral and coal mining enterprises to continue to improve and increase the implementation of PPM program.

The award for coal sector is divided into three categories, small scale (production capacity less than 2 million tons), medium scale (production capacityi 2-10 million tons), and large scale (production capacity above 10 million tons).
