Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Adaro Indonesia won two awards, gold and silver category, from the CSR and Sustainable Village Development (PDB) Award 2024 organized by the Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (PDTT) Ministry.
Adaro won the awards from its two leading programs, the gold category award from Liyu village tourism development and silver category for development of “Mitra Bersama” Village Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) of Jambu Village, Barito Kuala Regency, through producing botttled drinking water.
"These awards are triggers and motivate us to be more enthusiastic about developing CSR program as well as developing village potential," said Firmansyah, CSR Department Head of PT Adaro Indonesia in a press release here, Tuesday.

Adaro has provided assistance to Liyu Village, Balangan District, since 2011, including institutional stengthening until Mesiwah Pare Gumboh festival was initiated in 2019.
Adaro provided infrastructure for clean water processing, lightning in the form of solar cells for backup electricity as part of its CSR for BUMDes in Jambu Village since 2018.
The awards for two Adaro's leading programs were handed over by PDTT Minister Professor H Abdul Halim Iskandar to two local heroes fostered by PT Adaro Indonesia, Chairperson of Liyu Megi Raya Village Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Groups) Suseno and Head of Jambu Village Kasransyah.
The two local heroes were accompanied by Adaro's PIC for Economic CSR M Arief Munadi and Adaro's PIC for Monitoring Evaluation of CSR Program Andri Hamdani.
CSR & PDB Awards 2024 is an award event for business entities or companies that have CSR programs in an effort to accelerate village development.
PDTT Ministry collaborates with Indonesian Social Sustainability Forum (ISSF) to organize this event.
A total of 94 companies in Indonesia took part in the event which was held at The Westin Jakarta and attended by Vice President KH Ma'ruf Amin.
