Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan 15/7 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The project head of Syamsudin Noor Airport development Taochid PH said he is ready to closely monitor the work on the package-2 project.
"We are ready to closely monitor the airport work to finish according to the target, so it operation can begin in early 2019," he said in Banjarbaru on Saturday.
Close supervision is the instruction of Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi who previously visited the project site to ensure the package-2 work goes as expected.
He said he is ready to directly monitor the physical progress report of the project, with a budget of Rp638.2 billion of the total budget calculated to reach Rp2.3 trillion.
"We will continue to monitor since the beginning to the end in order the duration of work according with the target," he said.
The physical progress of the project until July 2, 2017 reached 1.256 percent exceeded the target of the plan of 1.091 percent or 0.165 percent.
"Physical progress at the beginning of work that has exceeded target will continue to be maintained, so that the project can be completed according to target. Supervision will be more, "he said.
He added that the airport development project that is in the national strategic project is divided in two stages and the extent of new facilities far above the condition of the previous airport.
"The terminal is able to accommodate up to 10 million passengers per year and the apron, which previously could only accomodate 8 aircrafts overnight, now for 18 aircrafts," he said.
