Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan 14/7 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi reviewed the development project of Syamsudin Noor Airport Banjarmasin, which is in the work process of infrastructure.
"I am specifically coming here to make sure the project runs smoothly and the reports received all smoothly, even progress beyond the target," he said in Banjarbaru on Friday.
The project reviewed by the MoT is a 2nd package project undertaken by PT Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring Tbk worth Rp683.2 billion covering infrastructure, building support and apron expansion.
According to the minister, the development of the airport located in Banjarbaru, about 25 kilometers from Banjarmasin, is expected to be completed by the end of 2018 so it can be operated in 2019.
He said all problems in the field that had hindered the development of the airport had been settled, so the national strategic project (PSN) could be implemented since May 2017.
"The whole problem is over and the condition of the soil has also been flat, so we are optimistic that the project can be finished according to the target set," he said.
He emphasized he had asked PT Angkasa Pura I as investor as well as user of airport facility to be more detail in supervising the process of work in order to finish according to target.
"We ask PT Angkasa Pura I to be detail in supervising the project and fostering good relations with the government as well as the surrounding community so that the work runs smoothly," he said.
Syamsudin Noor project head Taochid Purnomo Hadi said the physical progress of the package 2 project to 2 July 2017 reached 1.256 percent. "Physical progression surpassed the target of the 1.091 per cent plan, but already reached 1.256 per cent, so the percentage exceeded the target by 0.165 per cent," he said.
