Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Guntung Manggis in Banjarbaru City won the first place in the 2023 South Kalimantan village/urban village competition which followed by districts and cities representatives in the province.
Mayor of Banjarbaru Muhammad Aditya Mufti Ariffin here said that he really appreciated the achievement of Guntung Manggis Urban Village at the competition.
"We really appreciated this achievement and this could be achieved thanks to hard work of all parties in Guntung Manggis Urban Village," said the mayor after attending the Anniversary of the Province of South Kalimantan in Banjarmasin, Tuesday.
The awarding of trophies and certificates was carried out at the 73rd Anniversary of South Kalimantan Province held at Zero Kilometer on the banks of Martapura River in front of the old office of South Kalimantan Governor in Banjarmasin.
Aditya hopes that the achievement of Guntung Manggis will serve as example and trigger for other villages to innovate and making achievement, especially in provoding the best service for the public.
"We hope that other urban villages in Banjarbaru can innovate as well as be able to achieve the best. The point is establish good relations between the urban village and society to achieve the best," he said.

The success of Guntung Manggis in becoming the best in village/urban village competition at provincial level was due to the support and excellent programs initiated by the mayor.
Among them is Pick Up Ball (Jebol) program to record poor people who are not recipients of DTKS and PKH assistance to seek assistance through collaboration with Insan Berkah Mulia Foundation and collecting data on uninhabitable houses to be assisted with renovation.
There is also mutual cooperation program for cleaning the environment, awareness of paying taxes, consulting services through application, as well as online village administration services.
"We thank the mayor and all people who have supported various programs until we win the best achievement," said Lurah (Head of Urban Village) Zikru Rahman.
The success of wining the 1st best made Guntung Manggis to represent South Kalimantan to similar competition at the regional level.
