Kandangan, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The 2023 Loksado Festival will be enlivened with various activities, one of which is river tubing, Head of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District Youth, Sports, and Tourism Office (Disporapar) Efran informed.
"We'll hold the festival for three days on July 7, 8 and 9, 2023," Efran said in Kandangan, HSS, South Kalimantan, Thursay.
The series of activities that will be carried out are local art or cultural performance, as well as fun trekking, tree planting, mahumbal festival, and the famous adventure of bamboo rafting.
This year's festival will be different, he said, because river tubing becomes one of the activities as suggested by young people to be able to participate in the event.
Especially for the peak of the event, 100 rafts or lanting are prepared by the committee for bamboo rafting, as well as for river tubing as many as 100 sets of tools will be readied, such as life jackets, helmets, special tubing buoys.
"River tubing is an addition to our event which will be held one day before the peak day of festival," said Efran.

The office also prepares tends or booths for MSMEs and creative economy.
According to Efran, preparation for the festival have been planned according to stages, at a district level a large meeting was held attended by elements from TNI and Polri, related SKPD (government working units), sub-district heads, village heads.
So were the creative economy community from performing art sub-sector, tourism ambassadors, Generasi Pesona Indonesia (Genpi) HSS, and PMI.
HSS also coordinate with the PIC Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) of the Indonesian Ministry of Creative Economy and Tourism (Kemenparekraf RI) regarding disrection and support for the festival.

"With the South Kalimantan Disporaprov Marketing Division we also coordinate regarding our collaboration in Tour de Loksado to couple with Loksado Festival, with the aim of increasing the number o visits and length of stay in KPSN Loksado," Efran expounded.
HSS Regent H Achmad Fikry invited all parties to make the festival a success, and reminded HSS as the host to be able to provide the best service for guests, invitees, and others.
