"We do this in our efforts to reach the target of 70 percent residents being vaccinated by the end of December 2021," said Batola Regent Hj Noormiliyani AS when reviewing the vaccination at MAN 1 Marabahan.
Noormiliyani said that the district is currently at level 3 of the community activity restriction (PPKM), even though COVID-19 cases were low.
However, she acknowledged that it has just recorded 25 percent of vaccination. "We are optimistic with our maximum effort we will reach the target as it has been directed by the president,” she said.
To accelerate the vaccination, Batola has collaborated with TNI, Polri, companies, offices, and youth organizations.

Head of Health Office Hj Azizah Sri Widari said that COVID- 19 cases continues to decrease in Batola compared to July 2021.
“It has significantly decreased compared to the peak cases in July. There are only 30cases this month,” she said.
Meanwhie, vaccination for students, which was held by South Kalimantan National Intelligence Agency (BIN) in cooperation with the Health |Agency and the district office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, was welcomed by the students.
“I have twice been vaccinated, it's normal. I feel glad after being vaccinated, so there are no more worries,” said Dia, one of the MAN 1 Marabahan students, who hopes the pandemic to be soon ended.
