Kandangan, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - As many as 772 children from 274 schools in the South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District received school supplies from the Foster Parent National Movement (GNOTA) HSS, which was handed over by it chairwoman Hj Isnaiah Achmad Fikry.
She hopes that the assistance provided was useful and can slightly lighten the burden of parents, so the students can still go to school or not to drop out.
"Students can really study dan go to school diligently because their school supplies have been met," she said in her remarks in Padang Batung, Wednesday (April 28).
She said education is a right and obligation to advance the future of children. Therefore, the importance of going to school needs to be instilled in children's lives from an early age. Give motivation, so they will continue to be excited about learning to achieve success in the future.

GNOTA's assistance in commemoration of Education Day consisted of bags, notebooks, writing utensils, and dan school uniforms.
The delivery of assistance was carried out in stages over three days beginning Monday (April 26) in the sub-districts of Kandangan, Angkinang, Telaga Langsat, Sungai Raya, Simpur, and Kalumpang.
Then on Tuesday (April 27) in Daha Utara, Daha Barat, and Daha Selatan, and on Wednesday (April 28) for the sub-districts of Padang Batung and Loksado.
For elementary school (SD) level, the assistance was distributed to 239 schools for 612 students, while for junior high school (SMP) level to 35 schools with 160 recipient students. Total recipients were 772 students from 274 schools in all sub-districts throughout HSS.
Also attending Deputy Chairwoman of GNOTA HSS Srie Astuti, GNOTA Secretary Hj. Elyani Yustika, and Head of HSS Education Agency Hj. Siti Erma, who also handed over the aid directly to SD and SMP students.
