Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Processed product from the famous Tapin's spiciest bird's eye Hiyung chili gets ready to penetrate the international market.
"Tapin government in partnership with PT Astra Grup ready to export Hiyung chili powder to Japan and Spain. There are three international markets open, Japan, Spain, and Saudi Arabia," said Head of Tapin Agriculture Office Wagimin.
Currently, the Hiyung chili powder house production has adjusted the export standard products to those three countries.
"Tapin has met the export standard. The processing plant has been regulated in accordance with the home industry standards for export class, it is ready. Halal and health certificates have been issued, so we are ready," he affirmed.
Wagimin said that the typical Tapin's product also targeting other markets in Southeast Asia, for example, Philippines and Thailand.
"I see overseas, such as Japan, Philippines, and Thailand, cooking spices are all in instant," he said.

Meanwhile, preparing for export, farmers who belong to Hiyung Bird's Eye Chili Farmers Association will begin planting in April and predicted to harvest in June.
"There is no limit to the amount of export, no matter how much it can enter," he said.
