Amuntai, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The National Land Agency (BPN) again distributed free land certificates for the North Hulu Sungai (HSU) residents following the simultaneous handover of land certificates by President Joko Widodo in early 2021.
Head of the HSU BPN Chris Pius Joko Sriyanto in Amuntai on Tuesday (Jan 5, 2021) said 412 land certificates were distributed.
"Symbolically today we hand over 20 land certificates, the remaining 4,550 certificates have not been distributed," he said.
In total, he continued, HSU BPN had worked on 7050 land certificates in 2020.
HSU BPN targets 15,000 land certificates to be distributed to the residents every year to meet the target that President Jokowi wanted to achieve by 2025. However, in 2020 BPN was constraint by the COVID-19 pandemic, until land measurements could only be carried out at the end of 2020.
"God Willing in January 2021 we will distribute another 7,050 certificates, and certificates for 2,501 land have been distributed to the HSU residents," said Chris Pius.
The handover of certificates was carried out by HSU Regent H Abdul Wahid HK to 20 residents at the Negara Dipa Mess Amuntai after attending video conference on the national handover of land certificates by President Jokowi.
Jokowi in his remarks said as many as 584,407 land certificates were handed over simultaneously on that day in 26 provinces/273 districts and cities throughout Indonesia.
The Regent hopes that the residents who have received the certificates could give understanding to other residents that the certificate handling is completely free and not to be complicated.
One of the recipients H Ahsanul Fuad confirmed that he obtained the land certificates for free. He said he was happy that the land where he lives with his family was certified.
Also attending the video conference were HSU DPRD Speaker Almien Ashar Safari and Forkopimda (the District Leadership Communication Forum) officials.
