Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The district government of Kotabaru is committed to continuing to stengthen the role of cadres in family development as it commemorated 53rd PKK Movement Unity Day (HKG-PKK) with the theme “Moving Together with PKK, Realizing Asta Cita Towards the Golden Indonesia”.
Chairperson of the Kotabaru Family Empowerment and Welfare driving team (TP-PKK) Suci Anisa Rusli stated that the Unity Day is not just a ceremony, but rather a momentum to measure the impact of PKK programs on the community.
“The 10 Main Programs of PKK which cover education, health,food, clothing, housing, and environment have made a real contribution to improve the well-being of families,” she stated in Kotabaru, Thursday.

She added that Kotabaru PKK supports five of eight Asta Cita points in the 2025–2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), which align with the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
Meanwhile, Deputy Regent Syairi Mukhlis, who represented Regent H Muhammad Rusli, expressed his deep appreciation to all members of PKK for their dedication.
“This commemoration should be a driving force for all cadres to continue to innovate and woking toward the realization of prosperous families through PKK's 10 Main Programs,” he said.

Syairi also touched the issue of stunting, which still a major challange in Kotabaru, with a prevalence rate of 23 percent by 2025.
He emphasized that stunting handling can only be successful if PKK cadres in the villages and integrated health posts (posyandu) actively move with regional apparatus.
“Early detection, mentoring and cross-sectors collaboration with community health centers (puskesmas), hospitals, and village governments must continue to be stengthened,” he stressed.

He also appreciated innovation of Sampanahan Village PKK in successfully utilizing yard space to cultivate vegetables and herbs, thus contributing to family food security.
The Kotabaru TP-PKK chairwoman along with Deputy Regent and chairs of Women's Organization cut the tumpeng ( rice cone). Then, the winners of the 2025 PKK Unity Day competition, which was held in collaboration with a number of government agencies (SKPDs), were announced.
