Kotabaru Regent says Prosecutor's new building strengthens law enforcerment

Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Regent of Kotabaru H Muhammad Rusli stated that the inauguration of the new building is of a great significance for the Kotabaru District Attorney's Office and the local government.

"Its not just a building, but a symbol of our shared commitment to strengthen a more professional law enforcement based on integrity and justice," Regent Rusli remarked at the ceremony here, Wednesday.

With a better facility, he said, the Kotabaru Prosecutors can be more effectively in carrying out their duties, particularly in supporting clean law enforcement, eradicating corruption, and ensure that the regional development is in accordance with the applicable regulations.

The Head of the Kotabaru Prosecutor's Office Taruli Phalti Patuan expressed his gratitude to the Regency Government of Kotabaru and PT Sebuku Sejaka Coal (PT SSC) for their support in the construction of the building, which cost Rp15.5 billion, funded from compensation fund.

The construction began on July 23, 2024 and was completed with the inauguration of the building.

Taruli Phalti said that the use of the building has received approval from the district government and will soon undergo administrative processing to register it as an asset of the Prosecutor's office.

He stated that the building serves as a symbol for prosecutors (Adhyaksa) to maintain integrity and provide more professional and accountable legal service to the public.

Head of South Kalimantan Prosecutor's office Tiyas Widiarto emphasized the importance of utilizing quality facilities to support performance.

"This new facility must be balanced with improvement in work quality," he said.

He also expected that all levels of the Kotabaru Prosecutor's office continue to build synergy with various parties, especilly police, court, and local government for a better law enforment.

The inauguration was marked by signing of inscription and ribbon-cutting by Head of South Kalimantan High Prosecutor's office Tiyas Widiarto, witnessed by invited guests. A tour of the new building followed the inaguration.

After this inaugration, it is expected that the Kotabaru Prosecutor's Office will provide more transparent, accountable, and equitable legal service to all residents of Kotabaru.
