Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru Education and Culture Office distributed school uniforms and school supplies for early childhood education (PAUD), elementary schools (SD) and junior high schools (SMP) students throughout the district.
Expert Staff for Government Zaenal Arifin stated that the distribution of school supplies for PAUD, SD and SMP was part of the Kotabarus Regency Government's commitment in improving the quality of education.
“This program is not only distributing school supplies, but a concrete attention of the government for the future of younger generation in Kotabaru,” he stated here as reported on Tuesday.

He emphasized that the Kotabaru's development vision and mission prioritize education. Thus, the various parties support, including DPRD (Legislative Council), Forkopimda (regional leadership coordination forum), educators and community is crucial.
“Let us work together to ensure that every child in Kotabaru has equal opportunity to achieve their goals,” he emphasized.
The distribution of school supplies is also expected to ease the burden of parents and motivates children to continue pursuing their goals.
“I hope these school supplies to inspire new enthusiasm for our children to learn harder, and ease the burden of parents in meeting their educational needs,” he said.

Acting Head of Education and Culture Office Taufikurrahman expounded that the distribution of school supplies was the implementation of the Regent Muhamamd Rusli's and Deputy Regent Syairi Mukhlis's vision-mission for PAUD, SD and SMP education.
In addition to this activity, the Regent has a scholarship program for elementary and junior high school students.
“This activity is part of the Kotabaru Smart Card program, whichn was launched on 2025 National Education Day commemoration,” he said.

"The school supplies distributed included national uniforms, scout uniforms, sports uniforms, batik shirts, bags, shoes, socks, hats, ties, and school buckles. They also included stationery, including sketchbooks for kindergarten students, and stationery for elementary and secondary school students. This assistance was provided in full," he explained.
For kindergarten, they also recevied tumblers, so they are expected to bring their own drinking water to school.
The number of school students receiving the assistance were 11,408 from PAUD or Raudhatul Athfal, 36,700 from SD/Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level, and 14,883 students from SMP/Madrasah Tsanawiyah level.
