Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Kotabaru Regional Secretary Eka Saprudin opened integrated hajj guidance (manasik haji) at the district and sub-district level for 1447 Hijriah/2026 regular Hajj pilgrims.
He emphasized that hajj ritual guidance or manasik haji is a crucial phase in preparing prospective pilgrims, both in term of knowledge, mental, health, and discipline.
“Hajj pilgrimage is not only a physical journey, but also a spiritual one. Through this integrated guidance, the pilgrims are expected to fully understand the pillars, obligaion, and sunnah of the Hajj, as well as the procedures for the pilgrimage according to Islamis law,” said Eka Saprudin.
He emphasized the importance of instilling the values of togetherness, patience, tolerance, and obedience, considering that the Hajj pilgrimage involves millions of Muslims from various countries with diverse backgrounds.

The Kotabaru government is committed to supporting the implementation of a safe, orderly, smooth, and comfortable Hajj pilgrimage through cross-sector synergy.
The secretary hopes that all hajj candidates to be able to diligently follow the hajj rehearsal and will return home later to become "mabrur and mabruroh hajj" or the perfect hajj.
Menwhie, the integrated hajj rehearsal guidance is held for five days, from February 11 on Wednesday February 15 on Sunday, 2026, with the schedule divided into group 1 and 2.
The total number of prospective hajj pilgrims from Kotabaru this year in 303 people, 130 man and 173 women. They divided into two flight grous: 13 and 19.
The oldest pilgrim is Norma Mangacil Abdullah (87 year) fro Kelumpang Utara Sub-district, while the youngest is Muhammad Fathan Nur Qolbiy (18 year) from Pulau Laut Sigam Sub-district.
