Kandangan, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Head of South Kalimantan Provincial Economic Bureau Farhan commended the district government of Hulu Sungai Selatan's (HSS's) PT Tirta Amandit for pioneering the use of membrane technology, thereby increasing water production efficiency and capacity.
"PT Tirta Amandit's success is proof that the use of membrane technology is worthy of emulation by other Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) in South Kalimantan," said Farhan, while attending shareholders general meeting (RUPS) that also discussed the company's 2026 work plan and budget (RKAP) in Banjarbaru, as quoted from Diskominfo HSS, Wednesday.
Farhan said that HSS has successfully pioneered the use of membrane technology with tangible, efficient, and high-quality results.

Deputy Regent of HSS H Suriani also appreciated PT Tirta Amandit's innovative steps in improving clean water service to the public.
“This membrane technology is a step forward for clean water service in HSS. We, as the local government, certainly fully support and appreciate this innovation for a better service to the community,” he said.
Membrane technology was introduced by Deerfos, a South Korean company, and has been used by HSS water company PT Tirta Amandit in its clean water treatment process.
The technology has been proven to significantly increased efficiency and water production capacity from five liters to 50 liters per second.
Meanwhile, in this meeting regarding RUPS and RKAP, Director of PT Tirta Amandit Arief Budiman presented the company's work plan and budget for 2026.
