Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The District Government of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan Province, has recieved 500 seedlings from Forestry Ministry to support and strengthen food security program.
Deputy Minister of Forestry (Wamenhut) Sulaiman Umar Siddiq handed over the assistance to acting Regional Secretary of Tanah Bumbu Yulian Herawati.

"We welcome this forest rehabilitation program which is in line with vision and mission of Tanah Bumbu development, as well as national food security program promoted by President Prabowo Subianto," said Yulian Herawati in Batulicin, Tuesday.
One of visions of Tanah Bumbu government under the leadership of Regent Andi Rudi Latif is to realize food security through optimization of agriculture, fisheries, and livestock.
The ministry distributed 3,500 plant seedlings to seven districts and cities in South Kalimantan, including Tanah Bumbu that received 500 seedlings consisting of avocado, jengkol or dogfruit, longan, durian, areca nuts, kasturi (Kalimantan mango) and pampakin (South Kalimantan durian or yellow pulp).
"With the support of central and regional government, this program is hoped to strengthen food security and and encourage people welfare, especially farmers and agricultural-based business actors in Tanah Bumbu," said Yulian.
