Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Rector Professor Ahmad Alim Bachri introduced Student Waste Sorting Mover program during a meeting with Environment Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq as a concrete action of the university to support the Indonesia ASRI (Safe, Healthy, Clean, and Beautiful) movement.

"We have introduced this program to Minister Hanif and he greatly appreciate it," said the professor here on Friday.

He said, this program involves at least 100 students in each faculty. Each student is required to sort waste into organic (food scraps), inorganic (plastic, paper, metal), and residue/B3 (hazarduous and toxic waste).

The sorted waste is then processed into compost or recycled materials.
