Balangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Balangan Resort Police hoped that companies, local authorities, and the Public Works Agency (PU) are more cooperative in providing information related to heavy equipment operation and its security systems.
Head of Balangan Intelligence Unit Police AKP Irawan said it had a meeting with businessmen, local government and the Public Works, on Wednesday (25/1) at the Balangan police office to establish security and stability, particularly in the scope of the company, related to the theft of the control panel of heavy equipment.
According to Irawan, modes traced by the police that the perpetrator was very neat in their actions, even do not need to damage the door or the tool itself when taking the control panel. From these factors, police investigators concluded the lack of security. During this time it was only guarded by a night watchman or employees without the necessary special tools and skills.
"Police always ready to help in case of employers need security, both day and night, to avoid the problem of theft," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit AKPDany Sulistiono also expected the companies who experience theft immediately report the incident to the authorities.
"So we conduct identification and initial investigation (olah TKP) immediately. Companies who report incidents of theft to attach invoice, serial number and purchase orders, making it easier for the police to conduct an investigation at a later date," he explained.
To note, if there is a Public Work's heavy equipment rented by contractor, any damage or loss of the goods is the responsibility of the tenant.
