Banjarmasin offers easy investment at Indonesia Maju Expo

Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - The City Government of Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, is offering easy investment to investors at the Indonesia Maju Expo and Forum 2024 held at the Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta.

Banjarmasin Mayor H. Ibnu Sina said the government is now promoting to attract many more investors to invest in the city whose nickname "the City of a Thousand Rivers".

One of things the city promotes at every national level activities, he said, including at the Indonesia Maju Expo and Forum 2024 in Jakarta, is easiness in investment.

They can invest in business related to good, services, and trade in Banjarmasin which is supported by port and container services.

"Banjarmasin is known as a city of trade and services, so investment flows into South Kalimantan, like it or not, must come through Banjarmasin," said the Mayor.
 
In 2023, he pointed out, of more than IDR4 trillion investment coming into South Kalimantan Province, Banjarmasin received IDRp1.7 trillion, with the highest investment value in telecommunication.
 
Trisakti Banjarmasin Port, he said, is very strategic in supporting the city to become the city of trade and services.
 
That's why, the Mayor said, in its planning for the next 20 years (RPJMD 2025-2045), Banjarmasin City will become a logistics buffer city for the new capital city of Nusantara (IKN).
 
"The draft bylaws has been submitted to the DPRD," he said.
 
With this, said Ibnu Sina, of course the future investment of Banjarmasin City from various sectors is very bright, including tourism, creative economy to the development ofMSMEs.
