Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - The Provincial Government of South Kalimantan distributed IDR500 billion in revenue sharing funds for the fourth quarter 2023 to the district and city governments.
Acting Head of South Kalimantan Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) Miftahul Chair here on Wednesday said that the October-December 2023 profit sharing funds were handed over by Governor H Sahbirin Noor to regional heads with a total value of IDR545,937,971,323.
The revenue was collected from vehicle taxes and vehicle ownership transfer fee (PKB/BBN-KB), surface water tax, vehicle fuel tax and cigarette tax.
Banjarmasin City received the highest profit sharing amounting to IDR67 billion, then Tanah Bumbu District IDR60 billion, Tabalong IDR53 billion, Tanah Laut IDR47 billion, Kotabaru IDR44 billion.
Banjarbaru City IDR43 billion, Banjar District IDR42 billion, Tapin IDR40 billion, South Hulu Sungai IDR31 billion, Barito Kuala IDR29 billion, Central Hulu Sungai IDR29 billion, Balangan IDR26 billion, and North Hulu Sungai IDR25 billion.

According to Miftahul, he amount of profit sharing funds is in accordance with the amount that the provincial government received from the central government.
"This is what the central government calculates, we just share it," he said.
Previously, Head of the Regional Treasury Accounting and Financial Reporting of the BPKAD Idris informed that the South Kalimantan government earned regional revenues of IDR9.8 trillion or 108.3 percent of the 2023 target.
The amount of the regiona income was recorded on December 31, 2023, and was sourced from locally generated income (PAD) consisting of regional taxes, regional levies, results from the management of separated regional wealt, and other legitimate local income, with a nominal value of IDR4.86 trillion.
Regional income also came from the central government transfer worth IDR4.9 trillion with a realization of 108.7 percent.
