Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan provincial government is ready to support the Kotabaru district efforts to develop marine tourism sector.
Member of Commission III of the DPRD Kotabaru Junaidi after a visit with entourage to South Kalimantan Tourism Agency said Tuesday that in general the provincial administration ready to support Kotabaru's efforts to make tourism sector as a flagship program.
"Kotabaru as the district islands has huge tourism potential, then it need seriousness and focus on one priority, not only the content but also the supporting infrastructure, especially access to transport to reach them," said Junaidi.
In consulting with the South Kalimantan Tourism Agency, it received positive feedback for the government to conduct namely mapping Kotabaru that focuses on one or a number of objects to be worked out, then made the flagship program.
Earlier, Deputy Chairman of Commission III Denny Hendro said the DPRD Kotabaru recommends local governments to focus on one of the five leading tourist destinations that will be enhanced development and administration in supporting the concept of Kotabaru ecotourism.
