Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Adaro Indonesia, PT Saptaindra Sejati, Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN) and partners keep their commmitment to bolster efforts to expedite stunting reduction carry out by the District Government of Tabalong, South Kalimantan.
Not oly providing assistance through Corporate Social Responsibility program, Adaro and partners also equip posyandu (integrated health service post) cadres, sub-district and district facilitators in handling stunting and food access.
CSR Project Section Head of PT Adaro Indonesia Firmansyah said this year Adaro allocated IDR1 billion in CSR fund to support efforts to accelerate the handling of stunting in Tabalong District to achieve the national target of 14 percent.
"We specifically allocate IDR1 billion of CSR to expeditethe reduction of stunting rate in the form of training, mentoring to providing nutrition," said Firmansyah on the sideline of capacity building training for actors of stunting reduction acceleration program in Tabalong.
The training initiated by Adaro and partners in collaboration with the District Government of Tabalong held for four days from 12 to 15 June 2023.

The training by the community empowerment consultant Medha Parahita Indonesia focuses on assisting stunted toddlers and pregnant women with KEK (chronic energy deficiency).
The training materials cover spesific nutrition interventions, sensitive interventions, facilitation and empowerment of community, problem solving, 5 pillars STBM (Community Based Total Sanitation), access to food, and use of electronic based reporting information system.
Head of Kepala Tabalong Development Planning, Research and Development (Bappedalitbangda) Muhammad Noor Rifani acknowledged that collaboration with private sector is needed in accelerating the handling of stunting.
"We appreciate the steps taken by Adaro and partners in supporting the handling of stunting," Rifani stated.

He hopes that posyandu cadres and sub-district and district facilitators to take advantage of this training to enrich insights related to nutrition interventions and 5 pillars of STBM.
Rifani added that in accordance with the national target of reduction the prevalence of stunting as stated in the 2020-2024 RPJMN is 14 percent and currently the stunting prevalence rate in Tabalong about 18 percent.
"The target for 2024 is to be able to reduce 4 percent from the current prevalence of 18 persen so we met the national target of 14 percent," he said.
