Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) of the Republic of Indonesia gives Banjarmasin City a gift of a suspension bridge to be built on the outskirt of South Banjarmasin in 2023.
"Precisely at the border area in Kuin Kecil which connects it to Aluh-Aluh Sub-district in Banjar District," said Head of Banjarmasin Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office Suri Sudarmadiyah here on Monday, June 5, 2023.
The construction, according to her, will directly be under the supervision of the ministry.
"The suspension bridge will be built with a fund from a gift of the PUPR Ministry," she said.

The PUPR Ministry rewarded the success of City's PUPR for winning the second place in the assessment in the field of highways sometime ago.
As the construction of this bridge is related to neighboring areas, the office began to coordinate with the Government of Banjar District.
"This is related to land acquisition, we have coordinated with Banjar District Government," she said.
She said the support from the Banjar government and community elements in the border area is very high, because it is an alternative infrastructure that is very beneficial for the community.

Her office also coordinates with the South Kalimantan Road Construction Agency and related offices in order the process of the construction of the bridge to run smoothly.
According to her, the design of the suspension bridge has been prepared.
"Later the design will be reviewed by the ministry," said Suri.
She also said that the development of infrastructure in the suburban areas shows the seriousness of leadership of Banjarmasin Mayor H Ibnu Sina and Deputy Mayor H Arifin Noor for all people can feel the development.
