Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Being a successful person is not determined by graduating from well-known universities and graduating with best academic scores.
Kadarisman, S.Sos, M.AP, Media Relations Section Head of PT Adaro Indonesia, said that based on a research, of the30 factors of success, intelligence was ranked 21, graduates of famous universities 23, and graduate with highest score was ranked 30.
"The first rank is honesty. The top 10 determining factors for success were about soft skill or attitude. That is the result of Thomas J Stanley's scientific research," said Kadarisman to dozens of participants of the DPD KNPI (National Committee of Indonesian Youth) Tabalong Cadre Camp in Tanjung, Saturday (Janury 29, 2022).
Representing PT Adaro Indonesia, Kadarisman gave motivation to the participants, who were the combination of various colleges in Tabalong and some from universities in Banjarmasin.
Kadarisman, who is also Consultant and Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) Healing Trainer of South Kalimantan, said that KNPI youth cadres do not need to be humble, because the choice to improve attitude indaily life is an opportunity that everyone has, regardless of background and circumstances.
One of the strengths that the youth candres need to hone in is improving their ability to be listeners, not just listening.
There are five levels of a person's condition of hearing. First, ignore, second pretend to listening, third selective listening, fourth attentive listening or an attitude of paying attention well but still using his own glasses.
Lastly, emphatic listening or the ability of hearing by presenting oneself as a whole and with full soul.
"Youth can increase their influence by improving good listening," he said.
This technique isa phenomenal reseach written in Stephen R. covey's book "The 7 Habits Highly Effecfive People", explained Kadarisman.
