Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - There is no gap for the local government to give dispensation for oil palm transportation using public roads and specific road.
Head of Legal Division Regional Secretariat of Tabalong Khairul said this when explaining regional regulation (Perda) No. 6/2011, which prohibits the transport of oil into the district road.
"Unless there is a change on the local regulations," he said at meetings on facilitation and evaluation of licensing the use of public roads in the district for the transportation of fresh fruit bunches (TBS) of oil palm by PT Persada Dinamika Lestari (PDL).
Until now, local regulations regarding the use of roads for the transport of mining products and plantation crops have not been set forth in the Tabalong regent's decree in accordance with the recommendation of the assembly.
But Khairul said, South Kalimantan Provincial Regulation No. 3 of 2012 on amendments to Regulation No.3 of 2008 on regulating the use of public roads and road transport specifically for mining and plantation crops, dispensation can be granted for two years.
Head of the Tabalong Transportation, Communication and Information Agency Nana Mulkani said because the regulations do not have a gap to issue a dispensation, then the solution to PT PDL petition can not be processed.
