Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The South Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda Kalsel) and the South Kalimantan branch of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Kalsel) have agreed to collaborate to oversee the national strategic project (PSN) in the province.
Chairman of the South Kalimantan branch of Kadin Edy Suryadi said that his party and the regional police will ensure that PSN runs according to expectations for the welfare of people.
"We sign an MoU with Polda to work together to safeguard the pace of development in South Kalimantan, including PSN which is carried out by the central government," he said here on Tuesday.
Edy was speaking at the limited seminar with the theme "Strengthening the synergy between South Kalimantan Kadin and South Kalimantan Police to support the PSN in order to improve the people's welfare" at the Aria Barito Hotel, Banjarmasin.
Their synergy, he said, is also to encourage the national strategic project to be maximally absorbed in South Kalimantan, considering that the budget disbursed by the central government so far has not been absorbed 100 percent.
"Do not let the funds that have been disbursed return to the central, so whatever the budget must be used up to the maximum for PSN in South Kalimantan," he said.
Edy hopes that there will be another PSN in South Kalimantan, and one of the dreams is the cross-Kalimantan toll road as in Sumatra and Java.
Last year, South Kalimantan received PSN for the construction ofa new terinal building of the Syamsudin Noor International Airport in Banjarbaru. Then in early 2021, Tapin Dam in Tapin District was inaugurated by President Jokowi on February 18, 2021.
Comr Hadi Supriyanto, a source person from Subdirectorate 3 Corruption Crime of the South Kalimantan Police's Directorate of Special Crime Investigation, stated that the police ready to provide assistance in every PSN and other government's development project so that irregularities do not occur.
"Of course, the ultimate goal of the development is the welfare of people. Do not allow irregularities in the implementation, so we must guard and oversee in order it runs according to the rule to avoid the act of corruption," he said.
