Health officials in the North Hulu Sungai (HSU) are a little relieved, as in the midst of the pandemic, with various accompanying problems, cases of maternal and childbirth mortality have decreased.
"We have succeeded in reducing the mortality rate for pregnant women from October 2020 to 38 cases or down by 50 percent from 78 cases in the previous year," said Acting Head of HSU Health Agency H Danu F Fotohena in Amuntai, Thursday (Dec 10, 2020).
Meanwhile, a number of doctors and medical personnel in the district achieved the achievements as the best exemplary health workers in South Kalimantan, namely Doctor Ahmad Fauzan, Dentist Sandy Hidayat, as well as nursing and public health personnel, such as Hamdah, Desi Anwar, and Hadianor.
The achievement in the health sector was a sweet gift for the ranks of the health of the HSU at the 56th National Health Day (HKN) in 2020.
Danu was grateful that in midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the health ranks from the district level to remote villages were still able to provide health services as well as possible.
