Kandangan, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The supervision team for forest and land fire management from the National Police Headquarters (Mabes Polri) expressed praise for the preparedness of PT Subur Agro Makmur (SAM) and PT Tri Buana Mas (TBM) in handling the fire.
The head of the supervision team Brig.Gen. Hersadwi Rudianto in Bajayau, Wednesday (Oct 14, 2020), said he appreciated PT SAM and PT TBM that their handling and preventing of forest and land fire were in accordance with standards and advise them to maintain.
"It is not wrong that the (HSS) Resort Police (Polres) and the South Kalimantan Provincial Police (Polda) apointed PT SAM and PT TBM as examples of companies that are very prepared and meet the standards for prevention and handling of forest and land fires," he remarked.
This, he said, was in accordance with the results of supervision, both from presentation and checking the facilities and infrastructure of the two Astra Agro subsidiaries with early detection system using IT and drones, socialization using broadcast SMS and coaching by internal team.
The facilities and infrastructure have also met the standards as stipulated in the Agriculture Minister Regulation (Permentan) No.5 of 2018, as well as collaboration with local officers and communities by prioritizing local wisdom.
The presentation delivered by Administrator of PT SAM Erwin Ristiyanto, then supervision followed by checking facilities and infrastructure at the command post of PT SAM's Emergency and Response Team (TKTD), simulating the extinguishing of forest and land fires, and checking monitoring towers at the palm oil plantation.
The National Police Headquarters team consisted of Brig.Gen. Hersafwi Rusdiono, Sr Comr Arif Agus Marwan, Sr Comr Aminudin, Sr Comr Ade Harianto, accompanied by from Polda Ipda Krismandra, Bripka Samuel Pong, Bripka Untung AP, and from Polres Comr Reynaldo, AKP Bala Putra Dewa, Bripka Indra Permadi, and Ipda Adhi Nurhudaya Saputra.
