Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Health team visited Tanah Bumbu (Tanbu) to monitor the acceleration handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in the district.
The team was welcomed by Deputy Regent H. Ready Kambo, the Administration and People Welfare Assistant Hj. Mariani, and Head of Tanbu Health Agency H. Setia Budi on Thursday, October 1, 2020.
Head of the Ministry's Referral Health Service Division Riki Ikbal in Batulicin said the government through the Health Ministry formed COVID-19 Task Force (TFC-19).
"TFC-19 follows up on President directions, especially in nine priority province," he said. One of the priority provinces is South Kalimantan.
The task of TFC-19 takes care of all the technicalities in handling COVID-19, from reducing the positive case, reducing mortality rate, increasing recovery rate, to synchronizing central and regional data.
He said the TFC-19 is also to bridge the central and local governments in dealing with COVID-19.

He welcomed the improvement in the handling of COVID-19 in South Kalimantan. However, he reminded the province should anticipate the regional election (pilkada) cluster.
According to him, the Tanbu government must really anticipate this cluster with strategies that need to be prepared.
However, he appreciated the Tanbu government's efforts to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, one of which by collaborating with companies in procuring PCR.
"This working visit is certainly an honor for Tanah Bumbu because the agenda is to monitor the progress in the handling of COVID-19," said Deputy Regent.
