Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - South Kalimantan Youth and Sport Agency (Dispora) allows citizens to perform sports events, but on the condition, they are not attended by spectators.
Head of the agency H Hermansyah acknowledged that COVID-19 case in the province, although has not subsided, but is beginning to decline, so people events are allowed, including in sports.
However, he reminded, according to the direction of the Ministry of Youth and Sport there are several stages for regions to be allowed to hold sports events. South Kalimantan is considered to have entered the second stage, which is allowed.
One of the directions of the ministry in the second stage, sports activities without being attended by spectators.
"So no spectators for now, because later it will be difficult to regulate the implementation of health protocol at the location," he explained.
Unlesss the region enter the third stage where the outbreak of the virus is controlled properly, then the normal condition can be done.
"While in Banjarmasin there are still many red zones, you cannot," he said.

However, sports do not cause a large gathering of people, of course, no problem, whereas at this time sports activities are needed to increase the body's immunity, so people are strong if they are attacked by a virus.
The provincial government itself, he said, had already carried out sporting events, such as walking sport competitions to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Indonesian Independence.
Then on Sunday later there will be a futsal match among state civil apparatus (ASN) which requires players to undergo rapid tests.
"Everything is done to maximally follow the health protocol. The public is allowed to hold sports events, but must comply with the requirements," he said.
