Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Commander of 1008/Tanjung Military Command Lt.Col. Inf. Ras Lambang Yudha expressed his appreciation to the Banua Lawas, Tabalong District, Babinsa (a village supervisory non-commissioned officer) First Sergeant (Sertu) Jarudin who took the initiative to help local farmers by building a rice mill.
The rice mill with the name Antasari Jaya of Bangkiling Village reduces the burden of farmers in processing their agricultural products.
"Farmers used to queue before, because of the limited number of rice mills in Bangkiling Village," said Ras Lambang during his working visit to Banua Lawas.
Bangkiling is a village that relies on the agricultural sector with a large area of paddy field.
The rice mill builts by Sertu Jarudin has three crushing machines and two bleach machines.
Ras Lambang also thanked all related elements who had helped establish the rice mill.
Previously Tabalong Regent Anang Syakhfiani inaugurated the rice mill and expressed his gratitude for the support of the Indonesian Military (TNI) member for local farmers.
