Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Banjarmasin government's spokesperson of Task Force for Handling Acceleration of COVID-19 Machli Riyadi stated that the city will prepare itself to implement a new normal or new lifestyles that adapt to COVID-19 pandemic.
"In connection with the preparation of the new normal, we will hold a meeting tomorrow, what concepts we will apply for improvement," he noted in a press release, Wednesday.
According to him, the implementation of the new normal will be integrated with the local wisdom in the city of Banjarmasin to be carried out effectively.
"We have a lot more to prepare, so when the stage 3 of the Large Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) ended a new normal immediately applied," said the head of the Health Office.
As is known, he said, the stage 3 PSBB will end on May 31, 2020. Although the PSBB ends and to be replaced with new normal there is no change that the Health Office continue to do trekking.
"In fact this will strengthen the Health Office in the handling effort of COVID-19," he said.

Machli Riyadi said that the city government welcomes the central government policy to strengthen health protocol in public places.
"The Banjarmasin COVID-19 Task Force has the main role in the implementation assisted by the provincial COVID-19 Task Force, TNI and Polri, of course optimistic that the new normal will be carried out well," he said.
The joint step, he explained, will improve undisciplined public behavior to follow health protocol to avoid contracting the COVID-19 virus.
Until May 26, 2020 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Banjarmasin were 253, only 22 people had recovered, as many as 59 people died.
