Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - An alleged drug dealer was hiding sabu-sabu (crystal meth) in candy wrappers when the cops arrested him in a thwarted transaction.
"There are many ways for dealers to deceive officers, one of them by hiding sabu-sabu in candy wrappers," said Director of Police Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) Sr Comr (Kombes) Muhammad Firman in Banjarmasin on Saturday.
He said the perpetrator JON (35) was arrested by members of Subdirectorate II Ditresnarkoba with total evidence of four packages sabu-sabu.
"There are two crime scene crimes with a total of narcotics found weighing 3.24 grams," said Firman.
Initially, he told, the suspect was caught at the South Inner Ring Road in Pekapuran Raya Urban Village, East Banjarmasin Subdistrict, Banjarmasin City.
He was caught on the transaction, and the officers found the evidence of sabu-sabu as much as one package in a pack of Mentos Mint candy.
Then the police developed the case on Jalan Pekapuran Raya, and found again three packages of sabu-sabu with a gross weight of 2.61 grams.
"The suspect indeed is a dealer, for the act, we charged him with Article 114 (1) sub 112 (1) Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics," said Firman.
