Kotabaru (ANTARA) - The district government of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, held the 2026 National Awareness Day (HKN) roll call to encourae improvement in performance of state civil apparatus (ASN) and public services.
Deputy Regent of Kotabaru Syairi Mukhlis expressed his gratitude for their dedication shown to the region and the people of Kotabaru throughout 2025.
“Now we are entering the New Year, of course with new enthusiasm with new motivaton t give the best for Kotabaru and its wider community,” he said here on Monday.
HKN is a routine ceremony held on 17th of every month, with the aim at improving the quality of devotion, discipline, and services to the public.
Deputy Regent then delivered several messages from the Regent of Kotabaru regarding the ASN within the Kotabaru Regency Government.
First, must always maximize existing potential to provide the best services to the community.

Second, always maintain unity, and the third work with initiative, creativity and innovation.
“Especially discipline, perseverance, and be a role model for the agency/unit you work, and of course with the principle of hard work, smart, sincere, thorough and quality work,” he expounded.
He continued, the fourth, learn your main duties and functions of your position, continuously update your quality performance improvement, especially in areas of public services.
Fifth, provide quality input to your leaders both verbally and in writing.

Sixth, civil servants are required to change their mindset, attitudes, and behavior. They must always be pioneers and role models for other civil servants in providing the best service.
He emphasized the need for a comprehensive evaluation of all programs and activities to be implemented in 2026.
He hopes that the 2026 National Awareness Roll Call will bring about positive change, particularly in improving civil servant performance, government duties, development, and public services, so that Kotabaru will progress further in all aspects.
