The Disperin is focusing on industrial zones in South Kalimantan, namely Batulicin, Jorong, Sebuku, and special economic zones. Previously, the focus was on general industrial areas.
"We want to examine the potential and readiness of the zones we will develop in more detail," he said.
The development of industrial estates and special economic zones is considered as the key driver to driving downstream processing, increasing product added value, creating jobs, and expanding export markets.
In addition to existing areas, several new areas are being planned to strengthen industrial ecosystem in the province.
Here, SIINas serves as a crucial instrument to ensure the availability of accurate, complete and integrated industrial data.
This data will be primary basis in formulating targeted and sustainable industrial development policies.
