Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru Naval Base (Lanal) is striving to instill leadership, discipline, and strengthen the values of nationalism and national defense in young people in Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan Province.
Commander of the Kotabaru Naval Base Marine Lieutenant Colonel (LtCol) Muhammad Arif here on Thursday said it was a program of Republic of Indonesia Cadet Corps (KKRI) Batch V 2026 and it was carried out through Saturday-Sunday Camp (Persami).
"60 students participate in the program whish is held at high vocational school of SMKS DDI in Sepunggur Village, Kusan Tengah Sub-district, Tanah Bumbu," said the commander.

Persami is a camping activity designed to foster youth through character building, discipline enhancement, leadership, and strengthening values of nationalism and national defense.
Discipline, loyality, responsibility, and fighting spirit are the main foundation in building a resilient, integrated and nationally-minded future generation.
He hopes that the students participating in Persami will become superior human resources with character, and spirit of unity to support the progress of the nation and state.
"During the two days camp they set up tents together, practice marching (PBB) and ropes training, explore nature, engage in terrain orientation, participating in survival game, camp fire ceremony, inter-team art performance, congregational worship, and mental test," Arif concluded.
