Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The district government of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan Province, won the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) award for successfully holding a simultaneous MSME Digital Talent Training with the largest number of participants at the regency level.
MURI Operation Manager Andre Purwandono expresssed his appreciation for Kotabaru's achievement in winning the largest number of smultaneous MSME training in Indonesia at the district level.
“Today we all witness an extraordinary activity in Kotabaru, a simultaneous MSME training with a total 509 participants. We at MURI really appreciate the enthusiasm and collaboration that is able to drive the regional economy,” he said here as reported on Friday.

Andre hopes that this activity to inspire other regions.
“Hopefully it doesn't stop here, but it continues so that MSMEs in Kotabaru become more advanced and resilient,” he said.
Deputy Regent Syairi Mukhlis stated that this was a series of three major, mutually supportive events: the MURI record awarding, the launch of HEBAT Strategy, and MSME digital talent training.
“MURI record is not just an administrative achievement, but a recognition of our hard work, collaboration, and commitment to building community resilience after disasters,” he said.

He said that the HEBAT disaster stragegy is a significant milestone in the regional development with an inclusive, data-based, and sustainable approach.
"We are not just rebuilding, but building back better —— with a spirit of gotong royong and innovation,” he said.
While digital training for MSMEs was a concrete form of the Kotabaru government's commitment to improving local business actors competitiveness so they can adapt to the digital era.
Head of the Kotabaru Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Hendra Indrayana said that the activity had been prepared for two months to equip the community with disaster preparedness skills.

“We prepare this to equip people to have a capacity to face disasters, from basic training to post-disaster capabilities,” he explained.
He hopes this training to be a new strength for the people of Kotabaru.
Chairperson of Kotabaru TP-PKK Suci Annisa Rusli expressed her pride in the national award. She considered the MURI recognition as a concrete evidence that PKK movement is not only social, but also a movement for change.
“Today is a special day for us, because the spirit of gotong royong (mutual cooperation) in the Kotabaru community has received national recognition. This is a proof that PKK is playing role in real change,” she said.
Suci added that the post-disaster challange are not easy, as many families and small businesses were affected. However, with the support of the Kotabaru government and strategic partners, PKK is committed to continue mentoring and digitalization efforts for MSMEs.
