Batulicin (ANTARA) - PT Bintang Toedjoe provided building material to support the development of Arce Cantung Integated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) in Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan Province.

The company's Area Manager for South Kalimantan Sonny Ragil Pamungkas here on Sunday said that 3,000 paving blocks or concrete bricks were donated to the school.

"The materials are intended to improve the quality of school field, so it doesn't get muddy during the rainy season," he said.

Sony, who was with the Batulicin Marketing Supervisor Edwin Siregar, said that this assistance is a Corporate Social Responsibility program to support educational advancement throughout Indonesia, especially in South Kalimantan.

Sony hopes this assistance can be implemented sustainably, hoping that Bintang Toedjoe's presence will bring blessings to the residents of Tanah Bumbu District and Kotabaru District.

The Principal of SDIT Arce Cantung, Ustazah Iis Nur Aisyah, expressed her gratitude for PT Bintang Toedjoe's participation and commitment to educational advancement in Kelumpang Hulu.

"SDIT Arce Cantung was established in July 2023, with the building being constructed using self-funded funds," she said.

She expounded that before the school building was built, students studied in resident's home for 1.5 years.

In Agustus 2025, the construction process of three-room building was completed, and the students moved into the building. 

"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), this academic year SDIT Arce Cantung has six study groups," she said.
