Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - A Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Legislative Council (DPRD) member M Lutfi Ali supported a program to develop culinary tourism of Kampung Nelayan or fishermen village in Sarangtiung Village, Pulau Laut Sigam Sub-district.
"We support the program to develop the Kampung Nelayan's culinary tourism to be more advanced," said M Lutfi Ali here on Sunday.
As a form of support, seating facilities or gazebos were provided to support the comfort for visitors in Kampung Nelayan, one of the attractions in Kotabaru.
"We have distributed four gazebos to add the comfort and beauty of the facility for visitors," he said.
He expounded that the development of the culinary tourism is not mainly for its beauty, but it is emphasized on creative economy for the local residents.
"Previously, when it was opened, there were only two menus and two sellers, thank God now there are 17 culinary stands," he said.
Lutfi hopes that PT Arutmin and the Kotabaru Tourism, Youth and Sports Office (Disparpora) to continue to provide guidance for the development of this tourism, which is the pride of the residents of Sarangtiung Village.
