Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - The South Kalimantan Regional Police's Health and Medical Division (Bid-Dokkes Polda Kalsel) deploys 18 specialist doctors to health check regional head candidates who are running in the 2024 regional election.
"We are also assisted by 10 officers from the South Kalimantan Drug Agency (BNNP) and 10 from South Kalimantan Clinical Psychology Association," said Head of Bid-Dokkes Senior Commissioner Pol. dr. Muhammad El Yandiko in Banjarmasin, Friday.
The health examination of prospective governor and deputy governor, as well as mayor and deputy mayor and regent and deputy regent throughout South Kalimantan for Pilkada 2024 or regional election is centered at Bhayangkara Hospital Banjarmasin.
It is based on the General Election Commission's (KPU's) Decree No. 1090 of 2024 and also the Regional Election Commission (KPUD) regulation No 62 of 2024 concerning the Appointment of Hospital as Place of Health Examination for candidate pairs of governor-deputy governor, regent-deputy regent, and mayor-deputy mayor.
He expounded that there are 30 items of examination that include analysis of health, mental (spiritual), physical, mandatory support and other support.
Then MMPI examination to see the personality profiles of regional head candidates.
Head of Bid-Dokkes explained that if in the examination is not found to be medically incapacitated, spiritualy capable and has no indication of n drug abuse then the candidate is declared physically capable.
On the contrary, if one or more medical disabilities(physical, mental, and drug abuse), are found then the candidate is declared incapable to carry out duties and obligations as regional head.
The results of the examination will be submitted to the local KPU for the purpose of evaluation and completing the candidate's administration.
