Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Regent of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Sayed Jafar recevied an award from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights(Kemenkumham) for the regional government's contribution to the development program at Kotabaru Penitentiary.
Law and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly handed over the award at the Ministry's ceremony field to coincided with the commemoration of the 60th Correctioanal Service Day (HBP) 2024 with the theme "Corrections Must Have an Impact".
"This is an honor for us and the Kotabaru Correctional Institution to provide the best for inmates (or what called warga binaan)," said Sayed Jafar in Kotabaru, Tuesday.

He said, the regional government continues to contribute to synergize and suport programs runs by the local penitentiary.
"We provide grants and funding to support guiding program at the Kotabaru Penitentiary," he said.
Head of Kotabaru Penitentiary Yosef Benyamin Yembise congratulated Kotabaru Regent for the award he received at the 60th HBP commemoration.
"I am grateful to God and would like to thank the Minister of Law and Human Rights who has awarded the Kotabaru Regent Sayed Jafar. He really deserves it, because he has contributed to the Kotabaru Penitentiary. Congratulation to Kotabaru Regent for the award he has received, hopefully this add to our synergy," said Yosef.
