Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru District Government worked together with the 1004/Kotabaru Military Command (Kodim) and Kotabaru Police (Polres) to strengthen security at service posts during homecoming traffic of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri.
Commander of 1004/Kotabaru Military Command Lt. Col. Inf. Bayu Oktavianto Sudibyo said this is a real manifestation of solid cooperation between TNI (military), Polri (police), and related agencies in realizing a smooth and safe Eid al-Fitr exodus.
“We from Kodim 1004/Kotabaru will always ready to support Polri in securing areas that are considered vulnerable during Eid exodus period. We hope the community can celebrate Eid calmly and comfortably,” said Lt. Col. Inf. Bayu Oktavianto Sudibyo as reported on Thursday.

Homecoming (mudik) security involves various parties, ncluding the Kotabaru Navy, Transportation Office, Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), health team from Health Office, and members of Senkom-police partner.
Strategic security posts have been established in several vulnerable location and main routes, including ferry crossing service post.
Security at these posts are held for 24 hours in shifts, with a main focus to provide a sense of security and comfort for people traveling home to their hometowns.
With this synergy it is hoped that the security activities can reduce the potential for security disturbances and ensure smooth flow of homecoming traffic in Kotabaru area.
