Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The state-owned port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia or Pelindo (Persero) of Batulicin Branch in Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan, has distributes 500 Ramadan packages to community and orphan around the Samudera Batulicin Port.
"We prioritize people living around the Samudera Batulicin Port," said General Manager of Batulicin Port Erry Ardiyanto here on Sunday.
Erry said this year's Ramadan the Batulicin Pelindo also delivered cash assistane of Rp100 million to stevedors (TKBM) and community around the port.
Pelindo also distributed 500 takjil packages for iftar or breaking fast to orphanages, mosques and mushola (small praying place) around the Batulicin Sub-district and donated 25 orphans at Istana Anak Yatim Darul Azhar (Darul Azhar Orphanage Place).

He said this is a routine agenda held every year with the aim sharing happiness with TKBM, the surrounding community and orphans.
"The Pelindo Sharing Ramadan Program is expected to ease the burden of workers at the port and share happiness with orphans in performing worship in the Holy Month of Ramadan," he said.
Erry added that this activity is part of the company's Social and Environmental Responsibilities (TJSL) Programtowards the surrounding environment.
"Hopefully it brings positive impat to the community living around the port and it also shows Pelindo's presence in its efforts for the welfare of the community," he said.
