Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - Governor Sahbirin Noor said that the South Kalimantan National Halal Fair 2024 supports Indonesia to become hub of global halal product industry.
“South Kalimantan is one of 12 provinces in Indonesia holding the National Halal Fair 2024 during Ramadan. This activity is an important opportunity to develop sharia economy and halal industry,” he remarked here, Tuesday.
The halal fair, he said, will be an event for promotion and marketing quality halal products as well as a forum for micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM).
“The National Halal Fair is also a moment for academics and stakeholders to share knowledge with each other to develop business opportunities in halal industry. Of course this will encourage more and more certified halal products,” he said.

The National Halal Fair 2024 is also to support the national campaign in developing sharia economy, especially halal UMKM in South Kalimantan.
Especially in Ramadhan, he pointed out, which is a moment to strengthen synergy and collaboration to advance and expand business opportunity in halal industry.
National Halal Fair 2024 was held at the courtyard of Taman Budaya 19-24 Maret 2024, combined with several activities, including South Kalimantan TPID's low price market to reduce inflation rate.
Also Capacity Building Eksyar to coach sharia economic and financial actors took place on Wednesday (20/3), and Ramadan Cake Fair from March 12 to April 5, 2024.
