Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT PLN Main Distribution Unit (UID) for South and Central Kalimantan's Baitul Maal Foundation (YBM) provided aid for flood victims in South Kalimantan.
The assistance was handed over directly to residents in flood areas, such as Banjarbaru, Sungai Tabuk, and Pengaron. The assistance includes basic needs, health equipment, as well as cash assistance to ease the burden of the victims.
Chairman of YBM Legiman here on Thursday led the handover of the aid. He said PLN will always try to be there to help residents affected by disasters.
“Hopefully this assistance can meet the temporary needs of our affected brothers and sisters. We hope that the flood will recede soon and people can return to their activities,” he said.

Meanwhile, General Manager of PLN South and Central Kalimantan Ahmad Syauki also expressed his emphaty for the flood disasters that hit some areas in South Kalimantan.
"We are also concerned about this disaster and hope the flood to recede soon. We also have instructed all personnel to remain alert to ensure electrical safety for the community,” he said.
He appreciated the active role of the PLN's YBM which consistently distribute aid to communities affected by disasters.
“Thank you YBM who continue to be present to provide aid. Hopefully this will help to ease the burden on the victims,” he said.
Residents who received the assistance expressed their gratitude for PLN's concern.
“We are very grateful for the assistance provided by PLN. This means a lot for us who are affected by floods,” said one of the residents.
PLN South and Central Kalimantan continues to be comitted to care about people affected by disasters and ensures electricity services remain safe and reliable for customers.
