Marabahan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - PT PLN Banjarmasin Branch Area Manager Taufan Rahmat R announced that PT PLN Region South and Central Kalimantan to build gas power plant with a capacity of 200 megawatts (MW) in Barito Kuala in the near future.
"In addition, PT PLN Region Kalselteng is seeking the construction of a substation in Barito Kuala," said Taufan Rahmat R in Marabahan, Wednesday.
With the construction of gas power plant (PLTG) in Barito Kuala, according to him, in year 2018 electricity distribution to the district will be smoothly.
He explained that the plan of the construction site of gas power plant is located in the Sub-district of Tamban. The sub-district is selected, he explained, on consideration of ease of access and gas supply.
As for the construction of the substation (gardu induk), he said, the possibility of a place is in the Sub-district of Cerbon.
When the construction of the power plant was completed, he said, the public of Barito Kuala (Batola) enjoy the flow of electricity without blackouts.
According to him, the plan to be finalized and a detailed explanation of construction of substations and power plant with a capacity of 200 mega watts would be conveyed by the General Manager of PT PLN Region South and Central Kalimantan, Thursday (15/9).
Separately, Head of Community Empowerment and Village Government of Batola Dahlan said that in addition to disseminating the plan, it also wants Barito Kuala regency support the plan.
Vice Regent H Ma'mun Kaderi stated, for the advancement of Earth Ijejela (Batola) , then regency supports the plan.
