Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The District Government of Tabalong, South Kalimantan, collaborates with PT Pertamina EP Asset 5 Tanjung Field in disaster management.
Chief Executive of the Tabalong Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Haris Fahrozi said both parties signed a memorandum of understanding in this collaboration.
"Through this cooperation we hope that Pertamina will be willing to provide clean water if a disaster occur in Tabalong District," said Haris here, Monday.
The water supply, said Haris, is not only in drought but include flood and forest and land fires disasters.
Pertamina management representative Kurniawan Triyowidodo said this collaboration was a form of state-owned enterprise's (BUMN's) commitment to participate in disaster managment so as to speed the recovery of affected areas.
"We are ready to assist in disaster handling so as to expedite to restore the affected areas," he explained.
The signing of MoU by Regent of Tabalong H Anang Syakhfiani and Pertamina management was witnessed by Chief Executive of BPBD Haris Fahrozi.
On the same occasion, BPBD Tabalong also inked a coperation with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Workers Social Security Program) to include participation of self-help disaster handling volunteers in the employment social security program.
