Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Banjarmasin Social Agency redied equipment and manpower to build kitchens as preparedness for flood disasters.
Head of the agency Iwan Ristianto here on Monday, November 29, 2021, said that the flood emergency status has been established in the city, therefore the command post and public kitchens are ready to be built.
He said if Banjarmasin raised its status to flood emergency, then public kitchens will be built in every sub-district.
"If the status increases from standby to flood emergency, the public kitchen will immediately be built and active," he pointed out.
Iwan said that the city government is preparing early for handling the flood threats, because of the high intensity of rain accompanied by the phenomenon of high tidea that were out of the ordinary.

"The budget is also ready for the public kitchen in the event of a flood," he said.
Meanwhile, floods hit several districts in the province, namely Central Hulu Sungai (HST), South Hulu Sungai (HSS), and Balangan.
"We learn from the flood yesterday (in January), don't let us be too late to be ready," he said.
