Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The City Government of Banjarmasin is collaborating with the University of Lambung Mangkurat's Faculty of Economics for handling sustainable poverty.
Assistant II for Economy and Development Ir Doyo Pudjadi said that the city government is now preparing the 2021-2026 Regional Poverty Alleviation Plan (RPKD) as well as the Annual Action Plan (RAT).
The preparation of the program, he said, is in collaboration with the Regional Development Economic Studies (LKEPD) of the ULM's Faculty of Economics.
"The point is that LKEPD will professionally help with its knowledge in the program of poverty handling from the aspect of the location, the problem, the aspect of the program. They conduct studies," Doyo explained at the City Hall, Tuesday.
LKEPD studies in the field will be used as a reference for the consideration of the city government.

He hopes all parties involve are committed and responsible for the program of activities that will be implemented. The reason is that it concerns the life of the residents of Banjarmasin City.
"Hopefully the poverty alleviation is really right on steps, right on target, and with satisfying results. The importance is two things, first the program synergy, second is partnership collaboration," he said.
The Social Agency's, as determined by the Ministry of Social Affairs in December 2020, recorded 49,026 poor families or 163,391 poor people.
Some of them are in the Family Hope Program (PKH) for children's education and nutrition, others are in the program of Indonesia Health Card (KIS) and Indonesia Smart Card (KIP). Including those who receive welfare rice assistance (rastra).
